current sermon series!
As the pinnacle of the Christian faith draws near in these lengthening days, still we find ourselves in the pensive season of Lent. We are entrusted with this gift as an opportunity from the Lord for introspection and preparation, to discern the deeper meaning behind Easter—that before glory there must come humility, that before Easter resurrection there must come the sacrifice at Golgotha. We are called to join our Savior in the daily dying of our flesh, the daily living by the Spirit—trusting that as the Spirit in Christ Jesus raised Him from the dead, so too we will be raised by that same power. Join us as we invite Him to search our hearts in these days building up to the crowning hope of all who love Him and long for His blessed appearing!

fbc crestwood & bridge bread
Recently, our church has partnered with Bridge Bread ministries, whose purpose is being…
“… St. Louis’ only non-profit social enterprise that empowers individuals experiencing homelessness by providing meaningful work and marketable baking skills, permanent restorative employment, and financial assistance for housing. We believe everyone deserves a chance to build a dignified life. Through our restorative employment and unique Housing Incentive Program, we equip our bakers with the tools and resources they need to achieve self-sufficiency and become contributing members of our community again. Bridge Bread is more than just a bakery – it’s a doorway to a hopeful and brighter future.”
The current plan for First Baptist Church of Crestwood is to submit a bread order on the last Wednesday of the month, with the order to be filled and delivered on the subsequent Sunday after church. We will communicate updates in First Edition and through the church email list. Place your order on our church event at https://bridgebread.org/.
